I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
